Biography
Marshall started at Nature United in 2019. In his role he provides support to partner communities by sharing resources, supporting and facilitating planning processes and workshops, managing grants and reporting processes, and communicating opportunities. His community engagement work allows him to connect with community members and let their goals, concerns, and priorities guide Nature United’s work.
Before this, Marshall worked on Indigenous engagement and consultation issues, leading work on environment, natural resources, and conservation related files. He also previously worked with the Manitoba Important Bird Areas Program, focusing on a number of pieces of work including community engagement and site visits. He has a double-major honours bachelor degree in Environmental Studies and Geography from the University of Winnipeg and an advanced diploma in Geographic Information Systems from Red River College.
In his spare time, Marshall writes and plays music, reads, and bikes around the city. He lives with his wife, daughter, cat and two dogs and takes any chance he can to go camping or exploring around Manitoba and the world.
